Texas: My New (Temporary) Home

I have been pretty spoiled.

At home I have ~2400 sq. feet of space to hoard my treasures plus a large storage unit plus a full booth in an antique mall.

I am on a contract job in rural Texas for a whole year, and I am feeling cramped! I’m staying in a studio apartment, which is fabulous but teeny. My obsession with all things weird and wonderful means I have purchased a lot of things and I just got here a month ago.

My need to thrift is insatiable so I have decided to share three of my favorite finds from the week!

Bakelite Cocktail Shaker | The Thrifty Decorator
I’m on a Bakelite kick! This fabulous cocktail shaker is classic.
Industrial Horseshoe Chairs | The Thrifty Decorator
These fabulous horseshoe chairs were just $20…for both!
Bakelite Cigarette Box | The Thrifty Decorator
This Bakelite handled cigarette case is so fabulous, it is already spoken for. My clients loved it.

There are so many great finds here in Texas, but I am definitely going to need a truck to haul it all back!

    1. I was about 30 minutes outside of Paris, TX. My car was filled to the brim with stuff on my drive back to Chicagoland! Who needs rear view mirrors? 🙂
